****ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS RELEASE WILL BE DONATED TO MEDICAL AID OF PALESTINIANS****
Product Toss adds a new contribution to the Vief catalogue with an outstanding two tracker titled Once You Pop. With the tracks set at 125 and 145 BPM respectively, this short but sweet release packs one hell of a punch. Equal parts eerie and menacing, the listener is treated to two gigaton basslines and a multitude of sharp, crisp percussion throughout.
All proceeds from this release will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians. Like many others, Product Toss and I have been appalled by the indiscriminate and disproportionate violence the Israeli military has unleashed in response to the atrocities committed by Hamas on Oct 7.
Whilst we’re excited to join the many brilliant individuals in the music industry raising funds, aid is not reaching Gaza at the rate it could, or needs to, and this is not for lack of fundraising. Before Oct 7, 500 trucks of aid (which many argue is not enough anyway) entered Gaza a day. In the last month, Israel has allowed less than 700 in in total. Oxfam have stated “Talk of humanitarian access is a false promise, when Israeli bombs continue to relentlessly hit civilians and children when a full siege remains in place.”
A ceasefire is needed urgently to stop the killing of countless civilians in Gaza, and to allow more aid to enter. As many of you already are, please do what you can to pressure those in power to see sense and support a ceasefire. A meaningful peace process feels a million miles away, but it sure as hell will not start until this immediate period of violence ends.
Remember, whatever the ghouls in the British media and political classes say, calling for a ceasefire should be far from controversial.
Of course, you shouldn’t blindly defer to authority, but a huge number of international orgs including the UN, Amnesty International, WHO, Oxfam, and Save the Children, have made unwaveringly clear calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
